OMG STAMPS 4 TEH BLOO SKREEN? NO WAI!!!!!!!

A pet peeve of mine is whenever people, who are fanatical about other operating systems, use the Blue Screen of Death as a reason why Windows sucks. Acting as if it was implemented as merely a means of irritating Windows users.

No.

It's the dumbest reason ever. Why? Because the infamous BSOD is there for a reason.

Now why on earth would the BSOD be good, you ask? Because it lets you know when there is something really wrong with your computer. As a bonus, there is normally an error code or error message which can be helpful in figuring out what caused the screen to come up (either for you or the computer boffin which most folks would inevitably take their computer to whenever this pops up). I'd much rather like to know when there's something wrong, and what is wrong, rather than be kept guessing. And that is the purpose of the dreaded BSOD. To let you know when there is a serious problem with your computer, and what that problem could be.

So next time you hear some fanboy screaming about how Windows sucks because of the BSOD, smack 'em upside the head.

PS Despite my rant, I am not an ignorant monster who hates other operating systems. I am pretty chill about them, and I am happy when people are chill about people who use Windows. Heck, a friend and I did a collab once, she using a Mac, and me using a Windows PC. It turned out well, and I jokingly stated that this is what happens when Mac and PC play nice. What I do not like, though, is when people use stupid reasons to bash my preferred operating system. If you're gonna bash, bash for a better reason than BSOD.
